Default Cruel Intentionsz Elemental build

I was bored so i decided to post my eles build.

This build is actually pretty general of the fire nuke except I included some of my upgrades to it to make it more fun

SKILLS:
Meteor Shower
Arcane Echoes
Rodgorts Invocation
Mark of Rodgorts
Liquid Flames
Glyphs of lesser energy
Elemental attunement (elite)
Fire Attunement

ATRRIBUTES:
Fire mastery= 12+1+3
Energy storage= 12+1

EQUIPMENT:
Dragon breath wand of memory req9 20/20
Destroyer focus of energy storage req 9 with 30 life mod and "serenity now" inscription

survivor armor with runes of vitae.
and skill runes to match attributes

This is pretty much the invocation spammer build. It nukes without the worries of breaking aggro and having your whole team get mad at you in underworld or worrying about if the monsters run always n that waste of savannah heat. Plus with the right equipment all the skills recharges extremly fast for the longer lasting battles.
The process is it to first cast ele and fire attunement before battle. choose whether to echo meteor or rodgorts depending on the group of enemys. then soon after spamming either metoer or rodgorts cast mark of rodgorts and liquid flames to keep the life degen up. by this time rodgorts would have recharged by now so spam it agian till echo is out. while waiting for rodgorts to recharge you shuld have a fire damage wand and just wand alway for the life degen of mark of rodgorts. and the battle shouldnt even last that long to the point of wanding for life degen but if so all ur skills should be ready to be used agian so repeat. keep up ele n fire attunment at all times to have unlimited energy. But if u encounter any problems like enchantment removal which causes your energy to drop to zero cast Glyphs of lesser energy and recast attunements. you will have energy back in no time

COUNTERS:
counters to this build is destroyers which are pretty much immune to this build cause of burning.
Mass enchantment removals which may also removes back up glyphs attunement and energy shutdowns like charrs power block which shutdowns all ur fire skills.

Have fun with the build if you have any questions my IGN= cruel intentionsz
tell me what you think.
and i thought of this build myself but if someone thought of it before i did tell me because i pretty much just spended 30 mins looking at all ele skills and putting combonations together and i found out this to be the most effective

That's not the point.

Also, Meteor Shower is not worth the skill slot. Perhaps Immolate?

MB is practically infinite energy, and can run utility skills such as Blinding Flash on the same bar.
The damage, is really just a bonus.

Plus your bar lacks utility, it could really do with a little of the good old Ward Against Melee...

For energy and using Mark of Rodgorts, you're probably better off using something like Fireball, which recharges faster and to better distribute burning.

I was running something similar, with Glyph of Elemental Power instead of Lesser Energy, Incrediary Bonds and Fireball instead of Mark and Meteor Shower, and Glowing Gaze instead of Liquid Flames. I also still need to cap Elemental Atunement, so I was Energy Renewal (or whatever the ES elite enchantment that gives you health and energy when you cast), but with Elemental Atunement, you might be able to swap out Glowing Gaze for something else, but it's fairly spammable at a 5 sec recharge (Hopefully less with equipment), and the energy return was nice, and 10 spells of +2 fire can add a lot of extra damage.

That's why you have teammates. This is supposed to be a pure fire nuke build.

Mind Blast is not about the damage, it's about the energy management, which holds up even when your attunes get stripped.

And meteor shower... it's bad enough to use it, but to echo it... *sigh*

You guys are forgetting the point. using the mb build with glowing eyes etc may keep ur energy management up but with the cost of doing an large amount of damage and AoE. if i recall Mb max damge is 60 and glowing eyes is 56..

2 people have already said that the point of MB is not for the DAMAGE. It's for the energy.

You can spam Rodgort's constantly, along with Utility skills, ect. If your build encounters any enchantment removal, your screwed.

Mid-liners like the Ele go hybrid.
The build is losing almost nothing by dropping EStorage down to ~9 and buffing up Earth or Air for Flash or a Ward; however the gain in versatility and the boost to the entire party's defense is massive.

You'd have to be silly not to run utility on an ele.

[skill]searing flames[/skill]

That, is the only Fire Nuker build I wouldn't run utility on my Elementalist and go pure nuker.
The energy management is needed by far, and that is why I don't like SF.

And besides -- Ward Against Melee is like an unstrippable Aegis, which has less downtime.

Your point is moot.

Energy Management with minimal damage > strippable enchant with no damage. (since all you seem to be worried about is damage -__-!!!!)

Besides, with Mind Blast, you don't need GoLE, which frees up another slot. (get rid of Meteor Shower. It sucks)

It really is stupid not to bring some utility skills. Having Ward Against Melee, Blinding Flash, hell even Power Return will improve and strengthen your skill bar a helluva lot more than a redundant, echoed, piece-'o-crap.

BTW, get your skill names right. You don't have two GoLE's and wtf is Glowing Eyes?

/facepalm

I'll buy that if you don't have another Ele to take care of that.

If you end up with a dedicated Ele to warding (or primary warding with a few other tricks), and one to nuking, you win on both ends. At least that's how I'd see it.

This is of course, all in regards to PvE. PvP things are probably different.

I'd still toy with both to see which worked better.

Not really. Dedicating an Elementalist to Warding only, is actually silly, as Elementalists have some decent damage output aswell.

When you can have strong damage output, major energy management, extra-strong utility...it's hard to put aside unless you're quite stupid...

I can't imagine a situation where you'd need or want to bring more than one or two wards. Dedicating a character to that task is overkill, not to mention silly, not to mention boring as hell to play.

On topic for the topic:
The elementalist is versatile enough to provide a primary function (in PvE, most go for damage) as well as some party utility (wards, blind, snares). Going full damage (especially mediocre and unsustainable damage, which is especially the case with this build) is selling yourself and the other players in your party short.
